Congratulations to Reg Poole , taking out Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2007 Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad Awards.

And also award-winning news for Mistin Renee Summers, taking out the Country song of the year at the 2006 International Acoustic Awards, with ‘Down That Road’.

Paul Costa with duet partner Aleyce Simmonds secured #1 on the Top 100 Country Hits chart and #4 on the Top 30 Country Tracks.

Sharnee Fenwick ’s single ‘How ‘Bout Never’ made Top 5 on the Top 100 Country Hits chart and Top 10 on the Top 30 Country Track.

Nice to see a few of our songwriters receiving kudos, with Mark Lucas being named a finalist in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition in the Americana section, and two other artists Alex Watt (co-writing with Roger Corbett ) and Felicity Urquhart making the semi-finals (top 35 in each category) in Country and AAA respectively.

Our WA acts are gaining ground, with Connie Kis Andersen named a finalist in the upcoming 2007 WAMi’s for Best Country Music Act, and Ronni Rae Rivers named a finalist in the Golden Fiddle Awards for Best Fiddle Soloist.
